Before I left Boston, my dear friend and colleague Julia gave me a wonderful book titled The Sharper Your Knife, the Less You Cry. This true story of a woman who pursues her dreams in Paris was the perfect summer pre-Paris reading - thanks, Julia!

Yay, yay! I'm so glad it was a good read. It was a gamble, since I hadn't read it myself, but I intend to. What a great recreation of the picture! And Jardin de Luxembourg is one of my favorite places in Paris.
